It is an imperative that we prioritise the delayed fact that through truth, love and reconciliation, we are called to be One.
In His prayer to the Father, Jesus clearly prayed that we should be one.
The urgency of this prayer needs to be recognised today for surely Jesus weeps over the divisions within and between the Churches.
The Gospel is about change. Christ comes to change men and women and to change society.
“Behold I make all things new” is the triumphant declaration of Christ. (Rev. 21.5)
Renewal of our faith happens when we have reached an awareness of Christ’s healing power within us and heard His call to us to go out in His name to heal others. The renewal movement is fundamentally a healing movement giving hope both to the Church and the world.
“A new command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34)
“it is by His wounds that we are healed” (1 Peter 2.24)
The Gospel is about making people whole.
Our mission as Christians is to heal and to be healed. We are all damaged bruised people in need of the healing which only God can give.
